The Directorate promotes the hotels participating in Waffer Programme

The event was held in the presence of Ali bin Salem Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority, Advisor Sultan bin Butti Al Muhairi, Secretary General of Sharjah Executive Council, Advisor Mansour Mohammed bin Nassar, Director General of the Legal Department at the Ruler of Sharjah’s Office, Salah Al Mahmoud, Director General of Sharjah Centre for Documentation and Researches, and Abdullah Salem Al Mashwi, Director of Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources. During the event, the hotels participating in the programme explained about the discounts available to Sharjah government employees and presented the work and leisure experience, the high levels of services and the luxury hospitality that make them a favourite destination for domestic tourism in the UAE. The employees interacted well with the event and they benefitted from a host of offers and entered into prize draws designed by the hotels specially for the occasion. The aim of organising this event was to introduce the employees to the different hotels participating in Waffer, and to explain to them how to benefit from the discounts provided. Dr. Tareq bin Sultan bin Khadim, Member of Sharjah Executive Council and Chairman of the Directorate of Human Resources, said: “The Directorate organises such events in cooperation with the companies and institutions in an effort to consolidate and develop the strategic partnership with the private sector through Waffer Programme. At the Directorate of Human Resources, we believe that it is our social responsibility to offer the best to the employees of Sharjah government, in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Federal Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, to introduce community initiatives that serve the employees of Sharjah government, contribute to their happiness and motivation, raise their competence and productivity and create a motivating work environment. Bin Khadim explained that the Directorate is keen to activate cooperation with the companies on board Waffer, and that the organisation of such events at the workplace aims to acquaint the employees with the services and offers provided. He added that the Directorate seeks to extend the scope of this exhibition to other authorities and institutions in the Emirate, and that it is planning on organising more promotional events at the work place to introduce the employees to the other fields and companies included in the programme. On her part, Gawaher Saif Al Oud, Director of Events and Community Activities at the Directorate and Head of Waffer Programme, described the exhibition as part of a series of events through which the Directorate aims to introduce the Sharjah government employees to the services provided by Waffer, the participating companies and the offers they can avail of so that they can make effective use of the programme. The event titled “Hotel Services…and Modern Luxury” saw the participation of 10 hotels that offer special discounts to the Sharjah government employees through Waffer Programme.
